Chocolate-PB Fudge Pops with Greek Yogurt
These creamy chocolate Greek yogurt fudge pops are a quick and satisfying snack that the whole family will love! Made with creamy Greek yogurt for an extra boost of protein, flavor-rich cacao powder, and smooth peanut butter, they take just 5 minutes to prep before popping into the freezer to set. PS – your kids will love these!
With a busy lifestyle and two kids who are always on the go, having quick and satisfying snacks that everyone enjoys is a must! And the intuitive eating dietitian in me loves when I can squeeze in some extra nutrition, without it feeling like it’s “healthfied” or taking away from the satisfaction of the recipe.
Let me tell you, these Greek yogurt chocolate fudge pops knock it out of the park for all of the above! The combo of the cacao (or cocoa) powder and creamy peanut butter make for a super rich and decadent flavor, and Greek yogurt makes for the perfect thick and creamy base for these homemade fudgesicles.
I don’t know about you but fudgesicles were such a summer staple growing up. I can picture that melting ice cream dripping down my arms as we speak. Haha
I love being able to make a homemade version with my kids that also gets them in the kitchen (thank you for the 5 minutes of entertainment) which always makes it more likely they will try something new!
An important note, I’m not saying here that the OG fudgesicles are out. Just like I teach my adult clients in my Make Food Feel Good program—all foods fit! The goal with a healthy relationship is that there are no food rules, and no moral attachment to food (we need to get rid of the “good” vs. “bad” food mentality!) But that we can choose traditional ice cream without guilt, and can also opt for a more nutritious version if we’re looking for a little more energy or sustenance wrapped into something delicious!
Sound good?
All that said, my kids absolutely love these chocolate PB fudge pops. My two-year-old helped me blend up our latest batch after dinner and woke up asking if they were ready! You’ll seriously dream about these. Haha
With just a few simple ingredients, including rich cacao powder and smooth peanut butter, these Greek yogurt popsicles have a delicious fudgy chocolate and peanut butter flavor that’s hard to beat. Plus, they only take a few minutes to prep before popping them in the freezer!

What You Need For Chocolate PB Fudge Pops
Vanilla Greek Yogurt: Provides a creamy vanilla base with a rich texture and a good amount of protein, making the pops both satisfying and nourishing. I prefer using 2-5% Greek yogurt, as the higher fat content contributes to a creamier bite!
Unsweetened Cacao or Cocoa Powder: Adds a deep, chocolatey flavor that makes these fudge pops taste decadent!
Smooth Peanut Butter: Brings a delicious peanut butter flavor and adds to the creamy, fudgy texture. It also adds heart-healthy fats that give these a more biteable texture when frozen vs. being too icy and hard!
How To Make Chocolate PB Fudge Pops
Add yogurt, cocoa, milk, peanut butter, maple syrup and salt to a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for 6-8 hours or until completely frozen.
Mistakes and Fixes
Too Hard: If your popsicles turn out too hard, try using a higher fat yogurt and adding a bit more peanut butter. The fat helps to create a more bite-able consistency.
Too Soft/Broken Popsicles: If the popsicles are too soft, pop them back in the freezer until they are frozen through. I recommend just testing this with one—I made the mistake once of pulling out multiple pops that weren’t completely frozen. This cause them to break and they never full froze back together
If you do happen to break your popsicles like I did, you can also remove from the freezer and let them that a bit so they can refreeze and meld back together.
Not Blending Well: If the mixture isn’t blending smoothly, add a little more milk to help it along. Make sure to add just 1 tablespoon at a time so they don’t become too runny.
Uneven Texture: If the popsicles have an uneven texture, make sure to blend the mixture thoroughly until it’s completely smooth before pouring it into the molds.
Nutritional Benefits (Nutrition by Addition)
When I was doing my intuitive eating counselor certification, I loved learning about the principle of gentle nutrition. It is such a common misconception that intuitive eating is just ice cream and cookies all day, that it neglects nutrition, but this is absolutely not the case!
Gentle nutrition is all about integration nutrition from an empowering and feel good perspective vs. a restrictive, diet focused intent.
Take these homemade fudgesicles for example. I wanted to create a variation with some added nutrition that would also be filling.
By using Greek yogurt for the base, we don’t lose the satisfying creamy texture but we get some additional protein, calcium and Vitamin D! (more on the nutrition of the recipe below)
When it comes to nutrition by addition, I always share this important caveat— while I love the opportunity to give a nutritional boost where it fits, not every meal needs to be perfectly balanced or have added or swapped ingredients! It is perfectly fine to eat and enjoy traditional ice cream. In fact, allowing it more regularly is one of the keys to feeling out of control around food.
(If you’re looking for support around your nutrition and relationship with food, see how I can support you here!)
Add when it feels good, but remove the pressure when it doesn’t, or when you just feel like that plain ol’ pasta dish just as it is. The key is, these additions shouldn’t impact your satisfaction or enjoyment!
Vanilla Greek Yogurt: A powerhouse ingredient, offering around 25 grams of protein per cup, which helps keep you full and supports stable blood sugars (and therefore energy and mood). It’s also a great source of probiotics, supporting gut health, and a good source of calcium for strong bones.
Unsweetened Cacao or Cocoa Powder: Contains a great source of antioxidants, which help protect your cells from damage.
Smooth Peanut Butter: Adds nourishing fats, which make these popsicles more satisfying and provide sustained energy. It’s also a good source of protein and essential nutrients like vitamin E and magnesium. The peanut butter adds a creamy, fudgy texture and delicious flavor.
Recipe, Kitchen, & Time Saving Hacks
Prep Ahead: Make a batch of these fudge pops and store them in the freezer for up to a month. I like to remove them from the molds once set, and store in a reusable freezer bag. They make for an easy grab-and-go snack whenever you need it!
Versatility: Customize these pops by adding mix-ins like chocolate chips, crushed nuts, or a swirl of extra peanut butter before freezing.
Easy Pouring: To avoid spills when pouring the mixture into popsicle molds, use a measuring cup with a spout or a funnel.
Freeze Time: To ensure the popsicles freeze evenly, make sure your freezer is set to the proper temperature and leave enough space around the molds for air to circulate.
