Lindsay Pleskot

Hey! I’m Lindsay, a Registered Dietitian, and bestselling author of The Feel-Good Meal Plan (still feels surreal to say!) on a mission to make feel good by sharing delicious nourishing recipes that save you time and actually feel doable for your busy life.
I live in Vancouver with my husband and two kids and I’m so glad you’re here! Here’s a little about me.
Education & Credentials
- BSc (Dietetics), University of British Columbia
- Dietetic Internship, St. Paul’s Hospital (Vancouver, BC)
- Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor
Work Experience & Expertise
- I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since 2010, working everywhere from diabetes education and heart health, to mental health programs at St. Paul’s Hospital, to running my own private practice and virtual intuitive eating coaching program.
- In 2022 I became a certified intuitive eating counsellor. While I had practiced this philosophy since my early days in my career, I wanted to really immerse myself in learning the tools. After struggling with disordered eating in my youth, I knew I wanted to approach nutrition from a different lens. A lens of more, not less. Always thinking about what can we add to our place vs. cut out or restrict.
- I’m also the bestselling author of The Feel-Good Meal Plan, published by Appetite by Random House—a collection of recipes and meal plans designed to make meal prep realistic, save time, and reduce food waste for busy households. The book has received national recognition, making the Globe and Mail and Toronto Star bestseller lists, reaching #1 on Amazon, and winning Gold in its category at the 2025 Taste Canada Awards! I didn’t expect any of this but I am certainly very grateful.
- I taught cooking classes at Nourish cooking school and filmed short cooking segments for TV commercials for Save On Foods which were both outside of my comfort zone at first but incredibly rewarding in the end!
- I work with brands as a content creator and spokesperson and love this creative side of my work.
- My recipes and writing have been featured in print and media outlets including The Social, The Good Stuff with Mary Berg, The CW, CBC News, The Morning Show, Chatelaine, Canadian Living

A Little More About Me
- I have loved being in the kitchen since I was a little kid. My first dish was fried rice that my sister and I made for my parents when I was around 6 years old. We mixed up the chicken stock and soy sauce, needless to say it was saaalty. But my parents still ate it and I think I have that to attribute to my attitude in the kitchen. Have fun, enjoy it as a place of connection and way to show love. Test, and try again! (and I promise, my cooking skills have really improved since then). Ha!
- I dreamed about being a mom as far back as I can remember, I used to carry around our overgrown garden zucchinis dressed up in doll clothes and pretend they were my babies. I was nervous about what having kids would do to my career, knowing how important my kids would be to me. It’s not always easy but day by day I’m finding my way of embracing the “balance”
- I used to have an Australian accent. My family moved to Australia on a 1 year exchange when I was 18 months old. I learned to talk there and used to say things like “slippery dip!” and “G’day Mate!”. But you’d never know now 😉
- I’m half Chinese and Chinese cuisine is a huge influence in my cooking. My Ma-Ma (grandma) taught me to roll wontons when my feet couldn’t even tough the ground and now I love making them for my own family (you find our family recipes for Jang’s Famous Fried Rice, Ma-Ma’s 100 Wontons and a take on my Dad’s famous Better than Takeout Beef and Broccoli in my cookbook!
- I love to read…and also a good dose of reality TV (don’t judge me)
- I love salt and vinegar chips, but not the kettle cooked, I like good ol’ Old Dutch
- I’f I had endless amounts of money, I’d spend it on travel 🙂
- I’m always dreamind up my next travel destination…so where should we go next!?
